New for 2019, the Quantum Energy S3 PT Spinning Reel features enhanced PT features with Braid Band and an EVA knob that beats the competition. Energy includes the Reel Engine Design 2.0 technology, CSC Drag System, and Dura-Lok Clutch.
Ceramic Carbon Drag System
This patented multi drag disk design combines carbon and ceramic washers to perfectly balance smoothness with power. The carbon washers have the job of providing stopping power and good drag lockdown, while the ceramic washers provide drag consistency and smoothness.
Dura-Lok Clutch
An increased number of bearing rollers in the anti-reverse clutch bearing improves lock up and anti-reverse durability and ensures it functions properly in cold temperatures.
Line Management System 2.0
The precisely designed geometry of the bail and line roller works in concert with the super smooth oscillation system to create level line lay while minimizing line twist.
Hot Sauce Lubrication
Every PT reel comes with proprietary PT Hot Sauce lubricants. Its formulated specifically for fishing reel applications to lower friction and increase the longevity of each reel.

Foot Forward Design

The unique geometry of the spool lip design maximizes casting distance. The line comes off the lip with very little friction and is in tight coils which aids in reducing friction from the rod guides, resulting in longer, more effortless casts. A braid band also means you can tie braid directly to the spool without slippage.

A CAD designed rotor perfectly balances the rotor components and minimizes weight so there is no wobble or vibration on retrieve. The skeletal design also minimizes weight while maximizing strength.

A bent bail can cause the trip system to malfunction and ruin your day on the water. Patented nickel-titanium "memory metal" will return to its original shape even after the bail is bent or dropped to keep it functioning properly. The bail is also thinner than standard bails to reduce weight and produce a more balanced feel when cranking.
