How To Measure For Your TfXtreme Control Cable
When replacing your control cable, it's best to remove and measure your old cable before ordering the replacement. Measure the old cable from tip to tip and round up to the next whole foot.
If it's not possible to measure the old cable, then measure the path from control to engine along the unobstructed cable route. For Inboards and I/Os, add 6" and round up to the next whole foot. For Outboards, add 4 feet and round up to the next whole foot to allow for cable loop. Cable must contain a full loop at the engine end in order to allow unrestricted engine movement.
